IN Journey

Being successful in business is about taking part in a journey, not about standing still.  As in any journey, much of the excitement is in the planning of ‘where we want to go’, and ‘how we are going to get there’.  Commonly, as ‘two heads are better than one’ we plan together.

How often have you heard people groan when someone has identified the need for another ‘meeting’?  Meetings have a bad reputation for being a sleep inducing waste of time.  So why do we have them?  Why do business managers spend somewhere in the region of a third of their time in non-productive group therapy.  The answer is of course that there are a great number of effective and productive meetings happening every day.  Effectivly run they serve to involve, inspire and provide energy to the participants, who support and encourage one another.

IN Facilitated Meetings

A facilitated workshop or meeting is run by a neutral non-participant, who is able to concentrate on the meeting process, encouraging and stimulating full participation from the whole group.  The meeting is well planned, run to an agreed agenda, and delivers expected outcomes as part of an ongoing process.  The role of an INCS facilitator would fall into three areas.

  • Pre-event planning to ensure the right people are discussing the right subjects.
  • Event management, to ensure the plan is followed and everyone is stimulated and fully involved.
  • Post event recording and reporting back as part of the larger process.

IN Pinpoint

Meetings are by definition more productive when everyone participates fully.  At INCS we use a medium called Pinpoint to encourage participation and capture key information.  This also assists in the post event recording of who said what.  We also use a variety of methods and approaches to engage individuals and promote inclusion at all stages of the process..
